How I got to IIN

Almost four years ago I began a journey.  Like many journeys or trips that one plans you actually never really know where you will end up.  You have an idea, you have read books, seen pictures, maybe even been there before but unless you are travelling with your eyes closed, you will see and experience things you never have before.

I was unwell.  I was at least 50 pounds overweight, I was on the verge of being diabetic and I suffered from high blood pressure.  I felt like crap.  Truly.  I was a jolly fat person but really I was a thinner, healthier person screaming to get out from the inside.

What came my way was a link to a book by Dr. Mark Hyman “The Blood Sugar Solution”.
It was written for me and it changed my life in more ways than I can describe here.  I am healthy now and I love the “new” but really “old” me.  As this has evolved so have I and now I want to help others heal themselves the same way that I did.  Once again, a link to The Institute for Integrative Nutrition popped into my life and now I am on that journey to become an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.  Never, ever did I think that would be where I am today.  I absolutely love what I am learning and the people that I am meeting. I am a techno geek so I love all things having to do with computers and the internet.  Thus, I love taking the course over the internet and also meeting people through Facebook and our class page.  I am not intimidated when it comes to creating a website or figuring out how to make something work.  Many of my health histories have been done using Skype or FaceTime which has allowed me to meet people all over the world.

If you are interested in learning more or think that being a Health Coach is something you might like to do, give me a call or send me an email and I will point you in the right direction.  I am so glad I did and you will be too.

Here is a link to an article I wrote on the Health Coaches Community website.  To your health!

Lou
