We live in a neighborhood with so many wonderful young children. I have a husband who loves Halloween and we were out there tonight to greet all the little ones in their fun costumes. We set up early as the town closes the main street and has a trick or treat event from 4 – 6 pm. We were lucky this year and caught everyone before they actually went into town. Oh what fun it was.

We used to do Trunk or Treat when we lived in South Carolina and we think we would get close to 2000 children and family members coming by. This felt like it ( a little bit) tonight. We had a good crowd and then they were gone. In the meantime we met with brand new neighbors who are moving in tomorrow, we met neighbors we have seen walking their dog on a regular basis, and we saw our old friend who we have now named “Bear”nice! She was there with her two cubs. They didn’t bother us but we were respectful.

The picture makes it look like she was far away but she was definitely closer. Her two babies, thank goodness, were still with her. They crossed the street a few times and then I think they just said it was all too much and they wandered off into the woods. It wouldn’t be Halloween without her.
We had a wonderful, quick visit to North Hatley to check on the house. The weather was beautiful but we are glad to be home again. Have a wonderful week.
